nPrivacy Policy
nThe controller responsible for data processing is:
Gustivo GmbH, Hubenweg 1, 31224 Peine, Germany — Email: [email protected], Phone: +49 5171 588 0 866.
We value your interest in our online shop and take the protection of your privacy seriously. Below we explain how we handle your data.
n1. Access data & hosting
nYou can visit our website without providing personal data. Each time a page is accessed, the web server automatically stores a server log file (e.g. the requested file, your IP address, date and time, data volume and the requesting provider) solely to ensure trouble-free operation and to improve our service.
n2. Data collected for orders & accounts
nWhen you place an order or create an account, we collect the data required to perform the contract (e.g. name, company, billing and shipping address, email, phone). This data is processed to fulfil your order and is passed on only to the extent necessary (e.g. to shipping and payment service providers).
nShipping quote requests for deliveries abroad. If you request a shipping quote using the form on a product page, we process your e-mail address, the delivery country, the postcode and the product you asked about. We use this information solely to prepare a quote and to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract). We delete the data once your enquiry has been concluded, unless statutory retention periods apply.
3. Cookies
nWe use cookies that are technically necessary for the shop to function, and — where you consent — cookies for analysis and marketing. You can manage your preferences in your browser at any time.
n4. Payment & shipping providers
nTo process payments and ship goods, we share the necessary data with the relevant payment service providers and shipping partners (e.g. DHL, FedEx, freight forwarders).
n5. Your rights
nUnder the GDPR you have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected].
nThe full and legally binding privacy information is available in German: Privacy Policy.
6. Embedded videos & 360° views
On some product pages we offer a product video (YouTube – Google Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland) and/or a 360° view (Maxima Kitchen Equipment, a trade name of Spangenberg International B.V., Mijdrecht, Netherlands).
No data is sent to these providers unless you click. Until then we only display a preview image stored on our own server. Only when you actively click the button is the video or 360° view loaded; your IP address is then transmitted to the provider, which may process further data and set cookies. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give with that click. For YouTube we use the extended privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
Live chat (Crisp)
We offer a live chat provided by Crisp IM SAS, 2 boulevard de Launay, 44100 Nantes, France.
The chat is not loaded automatically. When you open our pages you only see a button; there is no connection to Crisp and no data is transmitted. Only when you tap it are you shown a notice and can start the chat explicitly. With that consent the chat is loaded, a connection to Crisp is established and a cookie is stored for six months so your conversation can be continued later. Your browser also stores locally that you agreed. You can withdraw this at any time by clearing cookies and local storage for this website.
We process your IP address, browser and device details, timestamps, the pages you viewed and the content of your messages, plus your email address if you provide one. The purpose is answering your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, or your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Sect. 25 TDDDG, which you give with that click.
Data is processed in the EU. Crisp uses sub-processors including DigitalOcean LLC (storage in the Netherlands and Germany), Amazon Web Services, Inc. (encrypted backups in Ireland), Cloudflare, Inc. (network, without permanent storage) and Scaleway (France). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Crisp. The current list is at crisp.chat/en/sub-processors; Crisp’s privacy policy is at crisp.chat/en/privacy.
Retention: We normally delete chat conversations after 90 days. If a conversation relates to a quote or an order, the relevant content is added to that transaction and kept for the statutory retention periods.
Email notifications: If you provide your email address in the chat, we use it solely to tell you when we have replied and to send you a copy of your conversation by email, so you can read it after closing the chat. It is sent via Crisp IM SAS. This does not sign you up for any newsletter or advertising.
